Well hello again, podcast fans! Welcome to Flatbasset Radio: Episode #74!

Happy Leap Day, everybody! In honor of this rare, yet scheduled phenomena I figured I should get my shit together and make the most of this bonus day by sitting on my ass recording a new show. Mission: Accomplished.

In this week's episode I celebrate some anniversaries, play some new local music, check in on some old Bay Area friends, lament the lack of respect for Owatonna's greatest songwriter, the sadness running through a classic beat album, revisit a single that was supposed to break one of America's great punk bands, struggle with my accents, fawn over my favorite rapper, and get unreasonably excited about my first trip to see The Boss live! As he always does when the seasons change, my buddy Nick (aka Young Sandwich) stopped by to drop off an hour long seasonally-appropriate mix and this year's no exception. As you can see from the track list below, this Autumn Mix sticks to Nick's format of covering as many bases as possible in an hour. There's East Coast rap, impovisational jazz, 90's grunge, iconic folkies, 60's British rock, ska-punk, old-timey guitar theatrics, British hip-hop, 90's refugees, and one epic prog-rock jam. Somehow he makes all this work. What a beauty.

Hello again, free music fans! Welcome to Flatbasset Radio: Episode #29!
 
For those of you who are unaware of the Flatbasset Radio format, here's what you're looking at: TCDroogsma is our resident MP3 junkie. As you've probably noticed in his Songs Of The Week column, he's not always the most positive music fan. In an effort to prove that he is, in fact, a fan of music, we give him an hour each week to play the songs he's digging and talk a little bit about them. Once he's recorded his podcast we put it right here on the website for free to stream and/or download!
