Flatbasset Radio: Episode #77
I know it's dumb to say, but turnabout's fair play...
Well hello again, everybody! Welcome to Flatbasset Radio: Episode #77!
Come for the jams, slog through the banter!
In this week's episode I admonish my own listeners for staying inside and listening to the show, defend Paul Westerberg's solo career, discuss an arena show by one of rock's most iconic bands that met my expectations squarely, check in with one of power-pop's great singers, attempt to rescue a Carl Barat side-project from the dustbin of history, admire Aesop Rock's storytelling, discuss yet another arena show by yet another of rock's most iconic that absolutely surpassed my expectations, & take a victory lap with one of the 90's most underrated bands. All that plus a bunch of anniversaries, the Cover Of The Week, & the Flatbasset Flatclassic!

Flatbasset Radio: Episode #65
The world is fucked but it won't get me down...
Well hello again, podcast fans! Welcome back to Flatbasset Radio!
How ya been? I know it's been a while since I last posted a show and I apologize for that. In my defense, I'm very busy & very sleepy.
However, this past weekend was Flatbasset Radio's three year anniversary and that seemed like an appropriate reason to get back on the mic.
As usual, this week's show has jams for days. I also find time to discuss the pros & cons of reunion albums, one of the 80's biggest bands, what type of music is done best by Brits & what style is done best in the Midwest, & getting lost in the bass. I also check in on some of the show's friends, celebrate some anniversaries, get into the Cover Of The Week & celebrate one of my favorite albums with the Flatbasset Flatclassic.
As always, Flatbasset Radio is completely free. Just click the Mixcloud player below and you're good to go.

Newest Industry Presents - Flatbasset Radio: Episode #33
(THIS POST ORIGINALLY APPEARS ON THE TWIN CITIES BLOG NEWEST INDUSTRY)
When you're lonely, press play...
Hello again, free music fans! Welcome to Flatbasset Radio: Episode #33!
For those of you who are unaware of the Flatbasset Radio format, here's what you're looking at: TCDroogsma is our resident MP3 junkie. As you've probably noticed in his Songs Of The Week column, he's not always the most positive music fan. In an effort to prove that he is, in fact, a fan of music, we give him an hour each week to play the songs he's digging and talk a little bit about them. Once he's recorded his podcast we put it right here on the website for free to stream and/or download!
In this week's episode TCDroogsma is flying solo from Planet New Basset. Episode #33 finds Droogsy celebrating some great local hip-hop, playing this generation's iconic British band celebrating THE iconic British band in his Cover Of The Week, suggesting a re-pressing for all the "vinyl nerds," mispronouncing people's names, imploring everybody to go to the Turf Club tomorrow night, finding common ground with a legendary artist via disappointing girlfriends, thanking Miami for "staying flithy," finding a band that sounds like "Ian Curtis somehow coming back & singing for New Order," wondering if he should have stuck with James Mercer, forgetting his own age, and explaining that you should never try to charm women with Morrissey lyrics!
