Well hello again, everybody! Long time, no see. Hope everybody is doing alright.

 I realize that it's kind of ridiculous to be finally dropping the Best Of 2019 podcasts during the fourth week of November, 2020. Truth is, like pretty much everybody, I've just been holding on for dear life for most of the year. It's been a tough run for everybody.

However, I miss doing the show and I'm nothing if not a sucker for tradition. So, before I can get to any new episodes, I felt it was important to continue the annual countdowns. I've done these shows every year since 2012 and I take a lot of pride in them.

Well hello again, everybody! Long time no see!

With everybody under stay-at-home orders I figured now was as good a time as any to dust off last episode I attempted to post. It's been nearly a year since the last episode of the show and if I had anything resembling a long-time fanbase I'm sure they'd be upset.

Anyway, part of the reason this show never got posted was that I got worn out trying to write up each song. It's time consuming and I found that the writing wasn't coming across the way I had hoped. So, long story longer, I'll spare you all the writing and just play the jams. As always we've got the Cover Of The Week, a trip in the Minnesota Way-Back Machine, and the Flatbasset Flatclassic.

OK, I lied, one exception:

Since Episode #135 had gone up in April Ric Ocasek, Kim Shattuck, Ed Ackerson passed away. That's why they all make appearances on this episode.

Hello again, podcast fans! I've missed you! Welcome to Flatbasset Radio: Episode #134!

Now, I know you probably have two thoughts:

01. Wow, I figured this guy was done with this stupid podcast nobody listens to.

02. Is this really a best of 2018 podcast in April?

First, yes, I'm still doing the show. I've been meaning to do the show pretty much everyday since the last episode, but I've been very, very busy. Not with anything fun, mind you, just buys working & working & sleeping etc... Between my two jerbs I went from January 5th to April 12th without having one day that I didn't have to be working at least one of them (and frequently both). That's not a brag or an excuse or whatever, that's just what it is.

Second, yes, this really is a countdown show in April. These countdown shows are a couple of my favorite shows each year and I take a lot of pride in them. If I didn't do this show now (and just pushed on to a whole new episode) I'd never be able to do it. This Best Of Radio K countdown was very much the only show I could do.
